Each year through our pioneering Daily Grant program, we make 365 microgrants of up to $500 each. These grants are designed to kickstart a volunteer’s or grassroots organization’s work and give them the lift their project needs to thrive and grow.

About this Opportunity
Our daily grantmaking began on January 1, 2013 and since then, we have funded a different project every single day. All qualified applicants in any funding area are considered within the guidelines of this program.
At The Pollination Project, our goal is to uplift volunteers who are creating a more just, sustainable, and compassionate world for all. We work towards that goal through our support of community-driven grassroots initiatives that empower volunteers and inspire others.
This means that rather than narrowly defining the issues or types of work that we fund or the geographical regions in which we make grants, we instead choose to be led by our applicants. So long as a project fits our criteria, we can consider any charitable work anywhere in the world which moves us towards a better world.
We accept applications from individuals, groups, and startup not-for-profit organizations based anywhere in the world as long as the work is volunteer-led and fits the following guidelines.
What does TPP consider when making grant decisions?
The applicant’s:
- personal connection to the problem they want to address,
- connection to the community in which their project takes place,
- passion and commitment to their project.
The project’s:
- support from the community,
- alignment with the values of Heartivism,
- impact and potential to create a ripple effect,
- budget and whether it shows value and resourcefulness,
- potential for growth,
- clarity and creativity.
What information do I need to provide to apply?
TPP accepts all applications for funding through an online application form. The link to our application portal can be found at the end of these information pages. Please note, we are unable to accept emailed submissions or requests for funding in any other form.
Applicants must provide a referee’s name and email address in the application. Referees should know you and your work well and be able to speak to your skills and experience. It’s advisable to check with your referee before applying. If your application reaches the final review stage, we may ask your referee to complete our online reference form. No formal letter of recommendation is required, only the online reference form.
Who Can Apply
We accept applications from individuals, groups, and startup not-for-profit organizations based anywhere in the world as long as the work is volunteer-led and fits the following guidelines.
For All Applicants:
- Your project must serve charitable community purposes and not personal gain.
- You/Your organization must not already be a recipient of TPP’s Daily Grant.
- Your project’s total budget must be under $10,000 USD.
- You can request up to $500 USD in TPP grant funding.
- You or your organization must be able to receive a wire transfer.
For Organizations:
- No paid staff (occasional professional services such as web design, accounting, etc. are allowed).
- No organizational promotion or advocacy for animal agriculture.
- Annual budget must not exceed $50,000.
Types of Projects We Do Not Fund:
- Animal farming activities or animal products (such as meat, eggs, honey, milk, and leather). Click here for more information.
- Academic and research projects.
- One-time donations.
- Beekeeping projects producing honey for sale or human consumption.
- Support for political parties, campaigns, or elections.
- Projects that discriminate based on race, ethnicity, sexuality, gender, age, or faith.
- Projects that evangelize or require beneficiaries to participate in faith-based practices.
Items We Do Not Fund:
- Payments to a grantee or grantee’s family for their time or services.
- Synthetic/chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or fungicides.
- Non-recycled paper.One-time use disposable plastic products.
